More foundational is the grace of God that names each of us as children of God, of human dignity, the grace of God that calls each of us by name. This grace, freely and abundantly given, stands in such contrast to the world we live in, the world of racist mass incarceration, the world of capital, where we value and rate ourselves by monetary numbers and social comparisons.”
